Wang-Wang!!! The President is breaking a law!!!

It is very commendable that President Noynoy is leading by example in showing us that we should be strictly following our laws, even the simplest ones. And the response from the people is encouraging - that they see P-Noy as among them and not above them.

One of the most applauded move of the new president is the non-use of "wang-wang". But this, I think, is a bad move. Let's get real. Traffic in Metro Manila is so congested, it will be a big headache for P-Noy. It may seem cute but, c'mon, you don't think it will serve the country good if our president is always late. It is not enough that he wakes up early to avoid the morning traffic, he will certainly need to go out and perform some duties in the afternoon and, in that case, traverse Metro Manila. He will never and can never avoid Metro Manila's traffic.

But more than giving importance to your time Mr. President, what's glaring here is that you are actually breaking the law. It is ironic that in trying to make us Filipinos follow laws, you are trying to do that by breaking a law. The law said you are exempted from it (along with the VP, CJ, Senate President and Speaker). Aren't you supposed to be following that exemption?

Ok, ok, ok, that's pretty corny, but, seriously Mr. P-Noy, the citizenry will understand if you will avail of this exemption knowing your time is very important. You only have six years to do what you have to do and you need every second of your term in order for your term to matter much in the lives of us Filipinos. Be like your father, our hero, Ninoy, who was always in a hurry for ther is not much time.

Use your "wang-wang' Mr. President for you are in a hurry.
